Our waiter will be a young Ethiopian, Aaron to whom I have become a 'big sister'  to practice/improve his German - so I know we will be in good hands!

  1st Wednesday of Every Month, rain or shine, we’ll be there—unless heavy downpours force us to cancel. Our walk will last about 1.5 hours , and afterward, you’re warmly invited to join us for lunch at Alter Wirt, a charming restaurant. If the weather allows, we can enjoy their lovely beer garden.

  This year's concept revolves around motherhood . It is a unique conversation of 3 mothers with Krishna in his last days. It is an interesting interpretation because the tales of Krishna familiarize us with the 2 mothers, but who is this 3rd mother?! Internationally renowned artist Guru Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy (www.vasundharadoraswamy.com)will present a thematic play. The concept revolves around an interesting situation in the tale of Lord Krishna, where three of his mothers come to him for one last conversation. This will be followed by performances of two forms of classical Indian dance: Bharatanatyam by Vid.Shubhada Subramanyam (Nityaa Arts Centre) Odissi by the Bhavani Odissi Dance School under the direction of Vid.Naila. The event will be held in a mixed format with English and German.

   We will walk around Hofgarten and Old Town where we will learn about significant women who influenced the development of Munich. Local author and historian Adelheid Schmidt-Thomé will lead our group and tell the stories of women who built up Munich from the 17th - 19th centuries.  Along the way, we will also learn a little about the history of Munich. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a prompt departure.

  Evening English Book Club

  Welcome to the Evening Book Group! We meet one evening a month from 19:00 - 21:00 to discuss a book we have previously chosen that meets our criteria of relating to “cross-cultural” topics. That is a wide definition that encompasses national cultures, caste, gender, lifestyle or anything else the group accepts as exploring the cultural aspects of a particular group. We will decide each month’s book at the meeting in the preceding month.

  We will meet at members' homes on a rotating basis. There will be a limit of 10 participants each month to allow for better discussion and so that more members will have a chance to host in their homes.

  1st Wednesday of Every Month, rain or shine, we’ll be there—unless heavy downpours force us to cancel. Our walk will last about 1.5 hours , and afterward, you’re warmly invited to join us for lunch at Alter Wirt, a charming restaurant. If the weather allows, we can enjoy their lovely beer garden.

  We are pleased to offer a special excursion to Faber-Castell, one of the world’s most renowned and historic manufacturers of writing and art supplies. After the train ride to Stein, we have lunch at the Schlossstueberl, providing an opportunity to relax and enjoy a meal together. You also have the opportunity to browse the Visitor Center, where Faber-Castell’s entire product range for writing, drawing, and creative design is presented. This is followed by a two-hour guided factory tour in English, offering fascinating insights into the production of high-quality pencils, colored pencils, and writing instruments. We’re looking forward to welcoming you on this very special and fun tour.
