Join us for a day in nature! Germany’s forests need help! By participating in planting small sapling trees, you can contribute to the conservation, protection and restoration of Germany’s natural forest development, and towards creating future climate-resilient forests. Enjoy fresh air, good company, and good food will be provided on site. Everyone can make a difference come and be part of it.

Conditions of participation: All participants must be covered by health insurance, participants from outside Germany must have a valid foreign health insurance.
We have found a family-friendly tree-planting project from the (non-profit) Bergwaldprojekt e.V. and Bayerische Staatsforsten. Together they organise sustainable forestry projects since many years, working with forestry experts and willing citizens. This tree-planting project is located in the Bavarian forest south of Munich, at Forstenrieder Park (Unterdill area), and is specifically designed and organised for local citizens to participate i.e. families and people of all ages, all generations!
The work is practical but usually adapted so everyone can help, NO experience is needed! and it is FREE of charge. However, we would like to collect 5€ from participants for the guide and kitchen staff, and towards some financial support to the organization.
We should have an (English speaking) expert to guide and help us on the day, and they provide the necessary tools and small sapling trees. The Bergwald projects kitchen team will provide a warm biologisch vegetarian breakfast and a warm soup for lunch, usually sourced from local produce. Coffee, tea and water are available all day...and they say, also a little chocolate....
You will need weather appropriate clothing, like sturdy shoes, weatherproof rain jacket incase of drizzle or light showers, and a smile!
